The AI receptionist that grew into the whole job.

Check-ups, hygiene visits and emergencies: answered every time.

The chipped tooth that rings at half five on a Friday. The recall reminder that never gets booked because nobody was free to answer. The nervous new patient who almost hangs up before leaving a message.

What it sounds like on the phone.

Hi, sorry to bother you, I think I've cracked a filling and it's really sore.
That's alright, that's exactly what today's emergency slot is for. Can I take your name and whether you're already registered with us?
I'm supposed to be due for a check-up but I honestly can't remember when I last came in.
No problem at all. I can look up your recall date and get you booked in, whatever it says.

What it actually does for this trade.

Diary booking

Fills check-ups, hygiene visits and emergency slots into the diary the moment a patient calls, day or night.

Recall reminders

Reaches out when a patient's six-month recall is due instead of waiting for them to remember.

Missed call catch-up

Texts back anyone who rang outside opening hours so a chipped tooth isn't left until Monday.

Practice knowledge

Answers questions about opening hours, which dentists are in, and NHS versus private, pulled from the practice's own website.

What it will never do

The receptionist takes down what's happened and books the right kind of appointment; it never assesses a symptom, suggests a diagnosis, or advises on medication. Anything clinical is always left to the dentist.

Frequently asked questions.

Will it try to diagnose what's wrong with my tooth?

No. It takes down what you've told it, pain, a chip, a lost filling, and books the appropriate slot. Any clinical judgement stays with the dentist in the surgery.

Can it handle a genuine emergency out of hours?

It takes the details and lets you know what to do next, including pointing to NHS 111 or the practice's own emergency arrangement. It won't attempt to advise on the problem itself.

Does it know which dentists work which days?

Once that's in the practice's knowledge base, yes; it can tell a caller who's in and offer their next available slot, or check any dentist if there's no preference.
